From 5pm today Brent Archives will be closed while we move to temporary accommodation during the redevelopment of the Willesden Green Library Centre’s site. Unfortunately, we will be unable to respond to research enquiries while we relocate.
The Archives will reopen on 1st May at 9am at George Furness House, 2-12 Grange Road, Willesden NW10 2QY. We will be open for appointments only every Wednesday 9am to 8pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm.
If I am reading this correctly one will not be able to walk in without an appointment. Can you confirm this.
Yes, this is correct. We are currently moving our searchroom to a location across the road in Grange Road. We will now reopen on 1st May at 9 am. We are taking appointments on Wednesdays between 9 and 8pm and Saturdays 9 until 5pm until the new building is ready. We need at least two days notice so we can retrieve items for your visit and make sure their is room for you to examine the material. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this causes.
