October is the final month of our Louis Wain exhibition, Communicating Through Cats, so if you haven’t already visited the exhibition, or you are planning to come for a repeat visit, do make sure you come before 29 October to avoid disappointment! You can find out more about the exhibition, including opening hours, here.

For our final adult event in the programme, we will be joined by speakers for a panel event entitled ‘Louis Wain in the 21st Century’. To celebrate World Mental Health Day, the panel will be drawing on visitor responses to the exhibition to discuss the significance of Louis Wain’s work in the contemporary world. Join us in Brent Museum’s Special Exhibition Gallery this Thursday, 6 October, at 6.30pm to take part in the discussion.

Make a note in your diary too of our October half-term family event, ‘Drawing Louis Wain’. Inspired by Wain’s work, as part of the Big Draw, we will be trying out some exciting drawing techniques – drop-in between 1-4pm on Tuesday 24 October to take part.

We have been delighted at the response to the Communicating Through Cats by visitors and in the press;  make sure you take the opportunity to see it before it closes, and join us for the panel event this Thursday -we look forward to seeing you there!
