Explore London’s architectural heritage!

Just a quick reminder that this weekend is Open House London, a free showcase of London’s architecture, open to the public for a limited time only!

Over the course of this weekend, (17th-18th September) over 700 buildings will open their doors to members of the public for this annual event, which celebrates the designs and buildings that form London’s iconic sky line. This year is especially exciting, as in just under a year’s time London will be home to the 2012 Olympic Games, which has seen a lot of physical development projects take place across the capital over recent years. Many of these new developments are reaching completion and contributing to London’s ever changing scenery.

Residents of Brent won’t have to travel far to make the most of this event as you will also be able to explore your own borough; Brent Town Hall, Capital City Academy, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Neasden’s Underground WWII Bunker and The Staples Gallery and Art Centre are just a few of many other buildings within Brent that are also open for exploration by the public.

This two day event offers the public an opportunity to explore a wide range of buildings that include historic landmarks and towers, government buildings, regeneration projects, landscape projects and many more. Make the most of this amazing opportunity to see London’s architecture at its very best!  For a full list of all the buildings open for exploration please see the Open House London website.
