Visitor comment: The way that Louis Wain played with the colours is amazing.
This week’s visitor object caption refers to a fantastical landscape by Louis Wain. Many visitors to the exhibition are often suprised to see examples of paintings by Wain with subjects other than cats. Indeed, several paintings on display depict other animals such as dogs, birds and cows. There are also eight landscapes on display, which are particularly vivid and highlight the artist’s bold approach to using colour.
