We are Brent!
This summer we will be working on an exciting young people project which celebrates the diversity of the borough in the lead up to the London 2012 Games.
The project will involve young people becoming cultural researchers where they will tell the story of Brent through local people using a range of research and creative skills. Young people will explore the area they live through research at Brent Museum and Archives, taking photographs, talking to local people and writing poems. During the project participants will work with Museum and Archives staff, a designer, photographer and spoken word artist to learn new skills and to share their own.
The findings will be put towards a publication to promote Brent during the London 2012 Games. To take part in the project participants need to be aged between14-24 and be available during the last two weeks of August. If you are interested in taking part, or know someone else that might be interested please get in touch to find out more and to receive an expression of interest form: museum@brent.gov.uk or call 020 8937 3608.
